Prepare in the Word of God (2)
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Hosea 4:6 …my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children. NIV
Many people think Satan is very powerful. That is not true. Satan only takes advantage of the fact that you are ignorant about so many things. They only take advantage of the ignorance of many people on the Word of God to deal with them. But the moment you receive information or the knowledge of the Word of God in that area of your life, Satan and his demons will have no power over you (in that area) again. The Bible says we should not be ignorant of Satan’s devices, not his power (2 Corinthians 2:11).
Now listen to me, ignorance can’t be cast out by the laying of hands, prayer or fasting. But ignorance can be dealt with by studying, reading, meditating and being taught the Word of God. When it comes to ignorance, Jesus doesn’t recommend prayer and fasting. He recommends the reading of the Word of God (Matthew 19:4). That’s why it took the disciples three and a half years to be prepared in the Word of God by Jesus teaching them before they were being empowered by the Holy Spirit to do the work of God.
But today many children of God want to be empowered without being taught the Word of God. Now the question is, are you prepared in the Word of God? Who is teaching you the Word of God? Do you attend programs where the Word of God is being taught? Do you read, study and meditate the Word of God? Don’t be an ignorant child of God; rather be an informed child of God by preparing yourself in the Word of God.
- Thank you Lord for today and the Word of God
- Father, help me to love the Word of God.
- Lord, direct me to where I can study undiluted Word.
