DDM Friday 27th May

Where to start

Psalms 145:4 One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts. NIV

Legacy is about creating impact in people’s life. If it is not about people, there is no legacy. Houses and organizations will collapse but people will last forever. Check the Bible and see these people; it was all about people: Abraham invested in Isaac and you could see a whole nation, Joseph preserved people’s life, Moses delivered the people of Israel, David served the people. He built people, Esther saved the people from genocide, Paul took the Gospel to the gentile world. Dorcas took care of widows and Jesus took the sin of man. If you love people you will go far… Legacy is about people.

Legacy is not in buildings. Jesus never built a building. He built people. He went about doing good to people. Acts 10:38 (NIV), “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.” My Legacy statement is to be a wonderful husband to my wife, a great father to my children and the maker of kings in all domains.

What will you be remembered for in your family? What will you be remembered for in Church? What will you be remembered for in your village? What will you be remembered for in your country? Do the things you will be remembered for now. How to begin your legacy: You begin your legacy by discovering your assignment. Your assignment is what you were born to do. How do you know what you were born to do?

Ask these questions? Whose tears / pain affect me? Whose success matters to me? Whose enemies are you will to confront? Who do you want to protect? What will by your legacy? What will you want to be remembered for?

  1. Thank God for a new day and His Word.
  2. Pray for God help you discover my assignment.
  3. Help me to know the legacy I want to live Lord.
  4. Give me the grace to start now.
